How To Dress A Her Crow Scarecrow

It is almost Spring. . .at least my thoughts keep heading in that directions. . .and I think it is high time that I resurrect a tradition from years ago when I "populated" the farmstead with "HER CROWS". . .the popular ladies of the farm that make passer-bys turn their heads. . .They are fun and colorful and do add so much to the country setting. . .

Some of my favorites were the ones who sat on benches and porches. . .They look the most real. . .You can see them at this link for a DIY Her Crow project. . .maybe create your own?

A Corn Shuck Christmas Angel To Make

This year I am returning to naturals. . .decorating with found items in the woods. . .crafting with some of them. . .along with supplies I have stored here at home. . .including a big bag of corn shucks I dried from the summer corn. . .to make a unique Christmas Angel. . .

I have made these before. . .but I had an idea that I might start making another one that better reflects the decorations for this year. . .and maybe make one for each year in the future. . .

So. . .I'm returning to instructions from THE COUNTRY FARM HOME to start creating. . .and I thought I might share them again with you. . .Just follow this link:

Tie One On With Chicken Scratch Aprons and a Free Pattern!

I have a huge collection of Chicken Scratch and regular Cross Stitch Aprons. . . .I can't resists them. . . . .Last count there were thirty plus. . . .They are so appropriate for FARMHOUSE STYLE. . . .

Chicken Scratch is very easy. . . .If you can thread a needle, you can do it. . . .The pattern I'm sharing with you came from a vintage kit for a small pillow. . . .I've intended to stitch an apron with a border of these adorable hearts across the bottom. . . .It would also be a good choice for pockets. . . .Let your imagination be your guide. . . .

HAPPY STITCHING!
